Biografía Ignacio Mateos


 


Nací en Valladolid, estudié Ciencias. En  el año 2004 me dedico profesionalmente a la acuarela que hasta ese momento había cultivado como aficionado.


 


Desde el 2002 he participado en varias exposiciones colectivas en Madrid. En el 2008 fui invitado al salón internacional de la acuarela en St Yrieix en Francia.


 


Del 6 al 21 de Noviembre de 2009 exposición individual  “Aranjuez y otros Paisajes” en el centro cultural Isabel de Farnesio en Aranjuez.


 


En Marzo del 2010 exposición individual “El Valladolid que Sucumbe” en la sala del BBVA en Valladolid


 


En Junio del 2010 exposición individual “La Luz que nos Llama” en la sala de exposiciones de Caja España en Palencia


 


Contemplando el paisaje de Castilla o los amaneceres en el mar siempre solía pensar que la mejor traducción de la sutileza de la luz y el color podría lograrlos con el agua. Y así comencé a estudiar en libros que enseñan la técnica. Libros que adquiría en Inglaterra donde hay una gran afición a la acuarela. Sin saber entonces que los acuarelistas que más me llegarían a interesar ¡son españoles!. Del XIX concretamente.


 


Comencé a practicar la acuarela como otros escriben un diario íntimo. Pequeños paisajes. Luminosidad y transparencia eran mis objetivos entonces.


 


En el año 2000 conocí al extraordinario acuarelista Pablo Echevarría con el que estudio desde entonces. Con Pablo comprendí que la técnica no tiene nada que envidiar a otras más reconocidas a la hora de conseguir una obra pictórica acabada, no solo apuntes y bocetos más o menos rápidos.


 


Aprendí con él a realizar retratos con un interés casi plástico. Construir el volumen y la tonalidad en veladuras. Como en el óleo. Pero siempre manteniendo al máximo el nivel de atención, ya que aquí es difícil, por no decir imposible, eliminar ciertos pasos mal dados. Sin embargo, a pesar de la aparente dificultad, también está la inmediatez, la limpieza, la luminosidad incomparable que reconocemos todos los amantes de esta técnica, creo.


 


Mi afición creciente a la pintura del natural y a la figura me llevaron en el 2004 al Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid donde acudo prácticamente a diario. Trato de compaginar el estudio en el Círculo con la pintura al aire libre que me apasiona, especialmente en los meses de Otoño y Primavera que son los más propicios en los alrededores de Madrid.


 


Mi obra se desarrolla en diferentes campos: el paisaje, el retrato, las vistas urbanas, la luz en un interior, la inmensidad del mar, algunos abstractos que aún no enseño. Buscando siempre, quiero pensar, una belleza que se escapa pero a veces queda ahí, atrapada entre las pinceladas cada vez más sueltas, que dejan, en las mejores ocasiones,  constancia en el papel de esa realidad anhelada. Como una danza que no se consume del todo en un instante. Falta algo. Falta el último paso: el del espectador que ha de dar, a su vez, vida a la obra.

The estimated delivery time for Artelista fine art prints is 5-7 working days, whereas in the case of original artworks, it would vary depending on the origin country. Once the artist notifies us the artwork is ready for shipment, the delivery will be in the following 24-72 hours, These delivery times may be altered by custom clearance events, especially when the origin country of the artwork belongs to a different cross-national agreement (EU,NAFTA,etc.). here. Shipments from Argentina, Colombia or Cuba need of a special authorization for the exportation of artworks, so it is important to have this into account when calculating the delivery date.


Bear in mind we are dealing with works of art, so they may be in an exhibition (actually, this is awesome!). Those artworks which are in an exhibition are usually displayed as “non-available”. In case the artwork has been put up for sale, take into account the artist would have to manage with the organization of the exhibition the return of the artwork in order to be able to realize the shipment.
